Situated at the north west of Africa, Morocco is the perfect place to rest for the immigrant birds, coming up from Europe in winter and going to the African sub-Saharan countries.
Starting from Tangier, passing by Larashe , Merja Zerga, Merja khallofa to Moulay Bouslham lagoon. Sidi boughaba in Kenitra, Sidi Bettach near the Royal haunting lodge. The high Atlas Mountains, Oukaymden, Imlil.
Going south east to Erfoud, Dunes of Erg Chebbi, The Massa Reserve, Souss estuary to Tamri river… These are few of a large list of sites in Morocco where you will spend full days bird watching.
Mossier red start, blue tit, black headed bush shrike, thick bell lark, hoopoe lark, timinks horned lark…The biggest flock of the Bald Ibis in the world.
This is a small list of birds in between a very large one that you can see in Morocco.

Bird Watching Tours
Our company organizes different bird watching tours in measure.
5 Days & 4 nights tour
Day 1:
Arrival from Agadir or Marrakech Airport and drive directly to Ssouss estuary spend couple hours birding. Return to hotel for check in and back to Souss River late afternoon and stay there tell night for the red necked night jar.
Day 2:
Leave at 8:00 am towards Massa lagoon. Spend the morning at the first bridge in Massa and go to Sidi Wassay for the Bald Ibis before lunch.
After lunch spend the afternoon at the reserve.
Drive back to Agadir might stop again at the Souss River. Day 3:
Leave at 7:00 am drive directly to Goulimim, stop in the mountains for Black waiter, rock bunting, Barbary partridge. arrive to Goulimim stop for pick neck lunch and drive for about 30km on the road to Tantan different stops for larks, raptors, swifts , drive back to Tighmert Oasis for the over night.
Day 4:
Leave at 8:00 am, stop for warbler, white crown black weatier, and golden eagle. Lunch in Goulimim, then drive to the dam reservoir of Massa for the black bellied sand grouse and others.
Drive back to Agadir.
Day 5:
Leave at 8:00 am, drive to the Imouzzar waterfalls for the crossbills, surl bunting, gray tit and others.
Drive back to Agadir.
Departure to the airport is depending on flight time.
